As I'm not using Twitter ( anymore ) I felt like not partaking in this but since some of my favorite Steemians started mentioning me in their Who Do I Follow posts and I saw others joining in who aren't using the Tweetiverse either, I felt I just had to give back that love and pay it forward. Out of fairness and love for Steemit and many of its users, I decided to re-animate my Twitter account and then...

...I made the mistake of checking the crypto market again and again and checking the crypto news. Today's headlines made it hard to focus on blogging.

In fact, they made me a Li'l Hyper and that isn't advisable for this hypersensitivosaurus, especially when there's no fig trees to be found to rest under.

I then started overeating and was about to binge watch mediocre stuff on Netflix but I decided to instead take a breather, do the dishes, make some ginger tea and focus on this write up and the people that I wanna mention.

It's not about me it's about you all.

I'm not even gonna try to just name 3 people but I will start with three and see how many I can add to that number:

@whatamidoing What to say about this guy? My first BFF in the Steemiverse. He and I are like Jin and Yang, although we tend to change positions at time. Two formerly struggling creatives who were tired of the struggle. There's so many parallels between this guy and me that it's hard to just write about him. In fact, both @riverflows and @trucklife-family mention Zach - that's his name - and me as some kind of siamese twin. Nevertheless, we live very far apart. He's in Tokyo and I reside in Portugal.

I know this was supposed to be about him. Let's say that he's just plain awesome ( he started the Be Awesome group ), a wise old man in the body of someone in his mid 30s. He's a bridge builder, loves to make connections. A language pro and a sensitive good guy who isn't afraid to say what he thinks. He's also breathing creativity and can't live without writing and music. Listening to other people's tunes as well as playing and singing his own songs on the guitar.

He was formerly knows as ( King ) 🍍
but these days he dares to show his face, stepping out of his comfort zone more and more.

@riverflows Who I lovingly like to call 'Mother Nature', as she founded and - almost single handedly - runs the Natural Medicine community and discord. This woman has so much love to give that I sometimes wonder if she's not forgetting her own well being. I know she tries. She loves a 🌊 and I can't blame her, living in Australia. I could easily dedicate an entire blog post to her but let's summarize by saying that it was Steemit love at first sight when I found her blog and I can sense her good heart from the other side of the world. I'm very much looking forward to meeting her in Portugal later this year. She's a gardener, a very good cook, nature lover, yoga fan, awesome writer and human being.

@trucklife-family This Irish woman living in Spain is an example for many of us. A single mom, living off-grid and trying to stay positive under often difficult circumstances. Whenever things become too much for her to handle, she throws her soul and passion into her creativity, often leading to her best work. Kindhearted and an example for all of us, especially those who are looking to reconnect with nature and their inner self. This loving soul is an inspiration and I can only thank her for all the amazing work that she's doing for her fellow human beings. I really hope to meet her in real life one of these days.

@yangyanje ( Soan ) Shinobi and I - I think I'm still not allowed to use his real name on here - met up last Summer and hung out in The Netherlands, Berlin and Switzerland. Although his overall energy ended up being a little too much for me - probably because I really need plenty of alone time - we really connected from the first moment we started talking on Discord, after a Steemit group meditation. This guy sure can talk. His knowledge is perplexing and he has so many life stories to share that you sometimes wonder how many times he reincarnated and how much of those adventures actually happened in this life. He's a passionate and loving soul, an amazing creative: filmmaker, painter / graffiti artist, designer ( of clothing ) and musician. I am already looking forward to meeting up with my friend again.

Before I forget, he's a great cook and the kind of vegan who can convert you just by cooking for ( and with ) you.

@inuke I wish this guy was more active on Steemit but he's kind of a workaholic and recently started wearing a ( wedding ) ring around his finger. He's an aspiring - and in my opinion - talented writer who's always willing to listen, learn and improve. He's also a great talker and fun to converse with. He was probably the first Steemian that I really started talking to ( on the phone ). From that moment onward, we started developing a strong friendship. I wish he and I could meet up in real life some time ( I was close to going to his wedding on the beautiful Andaman Islands, last November but life decided otherwise.

@samstonehill To quote this man:

He was a London based filmmaker until he sold everything and set out on a barefoot journey around the world, currently based in the south of France.
He is travelling with his partner & two children and with no bank account he has been living on crypto for over two years.

This guy surely is an inspiration. He's not afraid to share his opinion on controversial topics like global warming. We connected because both of us were filmmakers and we both believe in the Law of Attraction. He's spreading positivity and empowerment and he knows how to tell a story. He has seen and done it all, but changed his life around towards the bare(footed) necessities. Back to nature and sungazing. Awesome dude!

@namiks This British youngster who writes like he's an old man ( and I mean that in the best way possible ), has gone through a huge transformation - from introvert to almost the opposite - in the two years or so that I'm following him on here. He's a photographer, film student and movie fan who has done a lot and is still doing a lot for film bloggers on the platform. He's always up for an intelligent and thought provoking conversation. I just wish he spent a little more time online ;>)

@juliakponsford and @vachemorte This creative couple, who have done so much for fellow creatives on Steemit are my go to for art and unique music. I discovered them when they premiered their feature film on the blockchain around two years ago. Would love to meet up with them some day, if I ever make it to Canada.

Let's conclude with two Portuguese Steemians who I would love to meet somewhere this year.

@maxjoy is a film maker who I've been trying to meet up with for about half a year now. One way or another, it didn't happen so far. I might actually meet him face to face next month, when I plan to stay in Lisbon for a day or two, before heading back to my house in hermit town.

@herbalist-fox I got in touch with her on Discord, as both of us were partaking in Nanowrimo last November. I got her to make a Steemit account and join the Natural Medicine discord, as she's struggling with health issues and I would love her to feel better. She's a very positive and kind human being and we connected from the start. I hope to meet her too next month, in Lisbon.

I realize I'm forgetting a bunch of people, although I'm not really forgetting them

@ryivhnn you know I love you, right? You should be way higher on my list but this wasn't meant as a popularity contest. I guess your humility made me forget about you for a bit. Her shenanigans - sketchy type comics inspired by real life situations rock and I can't get enough of them, nor can I get enough of her amazing comments that I can always count on :>)

@fenngen we only just got to know each other but I really like your vibe. Thanks again for mentioning me in your who do I follow post :>)

@paradigmprospect Not sure why I forgot to mention you, probably because you started traveling and I kind of lost track of you ;>)

@ecotone I missed this woman who liked to call herself my biggest fan but she recently re-appeared out of hibernation. She writes awesome movie reviews and although she might Like Hollywood stuff a little too much ( in my opinion ), I don't blame her for that.

Then there's a bunch of people that I didn't mention here, who know - in their heart - that I love them and see them as a friend. You know who you are ;>)

That's all folks!

Signed,

Hypersensitivosaurus aka VelociRapper
