Ted:

I guess anything I type here will be used on steemit... I feel like big brother is watching me.

Anyhoo - I did some creature sound mixing this morning - Sounds good, but I may just make my own noises and then distort them in post. Not too sure yet, but that decision can be made at a later date.

More important is the sound that the humming stone makes, which is needed for Episode 1 - The sound I imagine will be impossible for me to recreate. Will try and explore other possibilities, sooner rather than later.

I've got a decent sound, which is disturbing when played at its normal pitch - it sounds a bit more soothing, with a vague unsettling feeling to it when the the pitch is raised - might be a good way to show the "mood" of the stone - might be best to give it an edge instead of making it all warm and fuzzy at the start. Will revisit this sound during the edit, but I do think it's worth trying. Ttys

Figured out that I can make it less ominous by blending feel good music with the sound - should be a decent intro to your character and the stone. Transition out of your dreamlike state will be a bit more challenging.
What I found while searching for a hum is that no one wants to upload anything like that - everyone is trying to create elaborate soundscapes and music.

Good day sir

I received the above messages from Ted this morning.

Yesterday, afternoon, he and I talked for two hours on Skype about our upcoming film project. I felt somewhat guilty about the fact that another week had passed where I was hardly able to spend some thinking time focussing on Tunnels of the Shadow People. Bad about the fact that I couldn't prioritize something that is that important to me.

Ted, on the other, seemed to have done a lot of work, a lot of thinking. Or, at least, it felt like that to me. Nevertheless, I know by now that that is exactly how creativity works and collaborations go. Sometimes you're on the side of the seesaw that's high in the air, sometimes, you're the one nearly touching the earth. At other times, you're equally balanced. It's something you just need to accept. It isn't a bad thing to talk about your feelings though when you're in a creative relationship or any kind of relationship.

Anyhow, after all emotional issues were settled, we got into creative, brainstorming mode again and both of us ended the call with a smile on our face and full of energy.

From the start of next week onwards, I will have way more time and I'm sure my creative gears will start firing soon enough.
