I received the following message from Ted, two days ago:
Dude - I got some music action today during my run. Not sure if it's because I'm also in a state of fasting or what, but you're gonna love these ideas. It'll involve some of your scenes, but works on so many different levels. Looking forward to chatting with you!
It excited me. Even when - or probably because - it's fairly cryptic and general, I know that it's going to be fun to hear. I am sure that it will give me new ideas.
In fact, I decided to not do any prep work myself today and to just go with the flow. To see what Ted's ideas will lead to, creatively.
I myself have been very occupied with the last couple of steps that will lead up to my future house ( Figuratively. I'm a decent climber ). My filmmaking is definitely still in the back of my mind ( every single day ) and every time I think of Tunnels of the Shadow People, I can't help but smiling :>)
And to get back to Ted's message and the couple of words he mentioned about fasting, this is a topic that I myself have been very much interested in, lately. Mainly because of witnessing how it totally changed @brightstar 's life for the better. In fact, she sent me a copy of a book on fasting, that I started reading today.
Anyhow, not long after writing the first part of this post, I got to talk to Ted. After catching up on important things like health and life, I asked him about the music thing ( mentioned by him on skype ). He said: I'm not really sure what you're referring to. Let me take a piss first.
He returned to the call, I read his skype message aloud to him and he replied that he hadn't written music but muse.
I got some muse action today during my run...
is what he wrote.
Sometimes we read what we wanna read. I read 'music action'. He then started explaining me what 'muse' meant / a muse is ( using Wikipedia? ) and I started laughing a little. I have had 5 years of Greek in high school and I really like(d) Greek mythology. Furthermore, any creative should know what a muse is, right? If you are a creative and you didn't know, you're missing out on something. I often wished I had a muse. Even though, lately, I don't seem to need a muse at all. I feel extremely inspired. Especially with Ted on my side, my filmmaking wing man.
Anyhow, in the end we didn't really talk about music at all. Although I couldn't help reminding Ted of the fact that @sequentialvibe offered, not for the first time, that he'd gladly lend his music to our project and @vachemorte has said a similar thing. ( You're ) awesome, buddies! And yes, we're up for it. Let's talk later ;>)
Filming Next Week
Ted is probably going to start filming next week. And - although I felt I couldn't really start before I move into my new place ( the 11th or 12th of September), you know what... I might actually start filming next week myself.
Whether we decide to use the footage or not, it will get me in the mood ( as did last week's filming ) and Ted too. Wanna know what I talk about? Then check out my latest filmmaking posts Having Fun with the Humming Stone and Romancing the Stone.
It's all about having fun, enjoying the process and looking forward to fun things in the near future. Forget about the struggle. There are easier ways.
Stay creative and positive!
