If you have been following the news lately, you might have heard that the hurricane season has started, once again. This morning I read about a tornado that rampaged The Phillipines, while I meant to read up on what happened to North Carolina.

In case you didn't know, I guess most of you don't, Ted is living in North Carolina. He's filming most of his footage for our project in a tunnel.

On Monday, he informed me about the tropical storm, that was about to hit N.C. on Thursday ( two days ago).

MONDAY

Ted:

Looks like I won't be filming on Thursday

Me:

ouch
better sit that one out

Ted

Oh I am
Was thinking about filming stock footage though
Probably leave the filmmaking to you this week

Me:

:>)
let's see how it goes
I'm gonna chill and try and sleep
tomorrow is an important day for me
nighty night buddy!

WEDNESDAY

Me:

made it to my new place, yesterday afternoon and the first morning was already an adventure.

As you're not going to film tomorrow ( right? ) and I have loads of things to do, I hoped you wouldn't mind if we don't Skype today

I'm sure we'll talk very soon

Ted:

I decided to film some tomorrow
Storm shouldn't intensify until late Thursday
and I realized that I wanted to make an excuse not to film.
Will talk to you soon enjoy your day

Me:

great
be careful
I need you back alive and well

Ted

I'll be fine! No worries!

Later that day...

Ted:

I found another excuse not to film tomorrow. Will talk to you soon!

THURSDAY

Ted:

The good news is that I woke up at 1AM went for a jog and then overcame the resistance of excuses! I went out to film this morning.
That action makes me so damn happy!

The bad news is that the tunnels are flooded by about 1.5 feet of water and I wasn't able to film.

And this is before the hurricane has even hit us. It's gonna be weeks before the tunnels dry out ( If we don't get more rain).

I will need to do a marathon of filmmaking once the tunnels return to normal.

That's it for now my friend...

Me:

ouch...

I myself am having stomach and lower back ache today
even my ankle, that I injured in Berlin ( February ) is hurting

so, I decided to take it easy today

I guess we should take this as a sign that we need to slow down a little

I guess you wish you had chosen a green screen tunnel after all ;>)

Stay safe my friend!

Ted:

Thanks

I sent Ted one more message, early this morning but I didn't receive a reply ( so far ). I hope and feel that he's fine.

It seems that filming in the tunnels is gonna be difficult for the time being, which is a shame for Ted. Then again, he and I have dealt with way bigger ( filmmaking ) challenges over the last handful of years. I have no doubt that we will overcome this one by making use of our creativity and improv skills.
