Boxing Day might have been a week ago, it has been boxing day for quite a while at my parent's house. Until today that is. At the end of this morning, 98 percent of my remaining belongings have been cleared from the house where I spent most of my youth, puberty and even some time as an adult ( inbetween houses, traveling, jobs ). There's still plenty of things left from my three siblings but, nevertheless, the extra space is clearly visible.

For those of who wonder if I bothered my parents a lot with the mess...

I only put the boxes on the landing ( as shown on the previous picture ) yesterday night. I moved them downstairs, just before they were being picked up. While doing so, I managed to flip my parents' ground floor.

About half an hour later, after a coffee with the man who takes care of the transport to Portugal, everything was taken by a little van, to be driven to a storage space.

In a couple of days, everything will be loaded in a big truck, accompanied by the cosy belongings and furniture of a bunch of other people. That vehicle will start its 2.5k route to Coimbra, the city nearest to my house. I hope to receive my belongings in about a week and a half.

Tomorrow I will be flying to OPorto myself. It's comforting to know that I've already spend a couple of months in my house before my trip to The Netherlands. To know that I have the keys and everything I need to survive out there. To ease my mind even more, my twin sister - who also lives in Portugal - checked on my house yesterday afternoon. Besides some water on the bathroom floor, everything seemed to be alright.

Long story short: I have had a good time in Holland. It was nice to catch up with friends that I hadn't seen in over 9 months, as well as to have loads of family time. I thoroughly enjoyed all the ( favorite ) meals my mom cooked for me. But it's about time to return and to continue building my new life. To level up to Vincent 2.0

I can't wait to enjoy this view again:

TO BE CONTINUED :>)

P.S. I just received an email from the transport company, with some pictures attached. My stuff looks even better in plastic. I guess it's a wrap.
